A decade,
one place.

I'm Ganapati V S — an engineer in Bengaluru. I joined Tracxn in 2015 as a software engineer, and I'm currently VP, Technology. The role is mostly about the team now, but most weeks I'm still writing code with them.

Outside that work — and uninterrupted since 2013 — there's a small catalogue of public stuff on GitHub and npm. One conference talk: TinyConf 2 in Bangalore, back in 2019.

The current one is microcharts — 106 word-sized chart types for React, small enough to sit inside a sentence or a table cell. Zero runtime dependencies, accessible by default, and written so a language model can emit one mid-reply that a person can still read and trust.

Vice President — Technology
Tracxn · Bengaluru
Multiple threads, with the team. The customer-facing AI assistant and the API documentation portal it lives in — a Fumadocs portal over an OpenAPI-driven pipeline, an intent router that picks the model per question, a tool surface and a skills layer on top of it, exports to Word / Excel / PDF, versioned prompts behind an evaluation harness, and an MCP server for Claude / Cursor / VS Code. Shipped in 2026 and hardened every week since. A parallel performance and modernisation push across portal, library and backend. The PDF viewer rewrite, still landing in pieces. And outside all of it, microcharts — 106 word-sized React chart types, entirely my own.
2022 — 2023
Senior Associate VP — Technology
Tracxn
Org-wide technical ownership. Browser-extension build pipeline across Chrome and Firefox; library upgrades across Storybook, Webpack 4 and a Vite POC; a hand-rolled AST codemod that migrated a button component across a long-lived frontend.
2020 — 2022
Associate VP — Technology
Tracxn
Multi-team architect — translating product asks into engineering work, reviewing the queue, escalating what needed escalating. Most of this work doesn't show up in commits.
2016 — 2020
Technology Lead
Tracxn
Created the internal React component library that the team has built on for the decade since. Stood up the first Node-based backend service. Helped standardise the Webpack / Babel / ESLint / Storybook stack across frontends.
2015 — 2016
Software Engineer
Tracxn
First commit on day one. Worked on the original landing page, dashboard, feeds and signup flow. Helped architect and ship the cross-platform mobile app on React Native + Redux.
2014 — 2015
UI/UX Engineer
InvenZone · Mumbai
Wireframed, designed and shipped UI/UX for invenzone.com (researcher social network) and the early arya.ai (applied-AI product).
2013 — 2014
Intern, Web Frontend
Thinkappz · Bengaluru
Built the frontend for eezyconnect.com. First public GitHub repos date from this period — they're still up there.
